2025 Annual Impact Report

Sometimes the day in and day out of international ministry can seem long and laborious, and it’s easy to lose sight of all that God is doing in the lives of individuals and communities around the world. Maybe you feel the same - you support and pray for the work month after month and aren’t sure what is coming from your investment. That’s why this practice of looking back each year is SO ENCOURAGING! Hearing the stories and seeing the impact of all of the hours, dollars, and prayers invested makes it all worth it. What a privilege to be on this journey together with you, with a front row seat to what God is doing in hidden places around the globe. It is good to be reminded of God’s faithfulness to his mission to reach even the most marginalized with the Good News. Thank you for laboring with us and Jesus for the glory of God.

Empowering Women

GROW Discipleship

GROW — Gathering to Receive, Opportunity for Work

Integrating discipleship with economic empowerment, this year-long initiative has fundamentally transformed women's lives, fostering the growth of their personal faith and financial resilience. In 2025, 30 women participated in this transformative pilot program.

Testimonies of Impact

“I recently had the opportunity to show kindness to a neighbor who had not been kind to me. This neighbor’s son was sick, and she needed money to take him to the hospital. Initially, I wanted to refuse to help her since she had refused to lend me money in the past. However, as I thought about it, the lessons I had been learning through this program came to mind, so I went into my room and prayed for the courage to do the right thing. Though the only money I had available was my business money, I trusted God and told my neighbor that I would lend her the money she needed to help her son. She was amazed that I helped her, confessing that she had been afraid of how I might respond, since she had treated me badly. I told her that God had changed my heart. The next week, she paid back the money, and I am glad I trusted God in this situation.” Fatmata Turay

“Every night before going to bed, I pull up a bench for God to sit on and I tell Him all that has happened during my day. I love having this practice as part of my daily life.” Saffie Kamara

“My business has really helped me to become more stable. Since I started this program, I have not only been able to buy three sheep to raise, but I have begun to pay for a plot of land.” Fatmata Turay

“In the past, paying my children’s school fees was always so challenging. I would have to beg from family and friends to cover the costs. But now, thanks to this program, I have not had to ask anyone for money. This is such a blessing to me.”Abibatu Bangura

Transformation Training

Wholistic Health & Discipleship Program

Year after year, God continues to use this 16-week program in powerful ways to transform the personal lives of the women, their families, and the surrounding communities - bringing dignity, healing, and restorative change. In 2025, 38 women participated in this life-changing course.

“Learning about forgiveness enabled me to reconcile my relationship with a friend who had deeply hurt me several years ago.” Fudia Kargbo

“Now I know that God created each person, and while we all may look different and have different abilities, we are all created in His image. Now I know that God loves me just the way I am.” Fatu Foday Kargbo

Educating Children & Young Adults

Step-by-Step Learning Centre
Arusha, Tanzania
20th Anniversary Celebration!

God’s faithfulness has been evident throughout the last two decades of SSLC’s service to students. A beautiful celebration took place in September, featuring a graduation ceremony, the grand opening of the new Adult Program Centre, and much singing and dancing. Praise God for the way He has provided for the school's growth and sustainability, enabling many children and young adults to flourish!

Nyandengoh!
Mattru Jong, Sierra Leone

To celebrate Christmas, 117 children and their caregivers - many from distant villages - gathered to hear the Gospel message. It was so encouraging to see nearly 90% of the children being served by the school present at this special event. During the event, 25 individuals responded to the invitation to follow Jesus! The celebration concluded with everyone enjoying a meal together, and each family being given a 25kg bag of rice and a gallon of oil, thanks to a generous ministry partner of Nyandengoh!. Praise God for a beautiful conclusion to another year of fruitful ministry in Mattru Jong.

Equipping Church & Ministry Leaders

In 2025, AHI’s Theology of Disability workshop was conducted in Zimbabwe, Zambia, Uganda, and Kenya. 95 church and ministry leaders were trained in order to expand the global impact of Gospel-centered inclusion for those with disabilities. Over the course of the year, these ministry leaders reported back on their multiplication efforts with over 2,700 people have been directly impacted by these profound and transformational Biblical principles. Global transformation is taking place, bringing hope, dignity, and loving inclusion to many living with disabilities.

Workshop Testimonial

“As a mother of daughter with CP, I have found this workshop to be a place of deep learning and unlearning. The love that Jesus has is such a deep love. We are called to love someone who may never show us back his love, till they see Christ in us.” —Grace Kinga

Impact of Workshops in Local Communities

“A young man who suffers from paralysis only started coming to church after we visited him and gave him a Bible. Now he is very committed to church, and he comes along with his wife.” —Pastor Robert Wandera, Uganda

“A parent with a child with CP was caring for her child alone, now things are changing and people are helping this mother and her child. They are also now participating in church functions.” —Pastor in Zimbabwe

Virtual Workshop Testimonials

74 church and ministry leaders from 26 countries participated in virtual Theology of Disability workshops in 2025.

“I truly enjoyed the vToD! I learned so much in each session. As my church and I make plans for changes, we will do so with prayer so that each individual, with or without an obvious disability, will be treated with the dignity they deserve.” —CW, Church Leader, USA

“This virtual workshop has inspired me to study the Bible with a different lens and invite others to that as well.” —Ministry Leader, Central America

Engaging the Global Ministry Community

In August, AHI had the unique opportunity to facilitate a Theology of Disability training in Kenya for representatives from a wide-range of organizations. Usually, our in-person trainings are facilitated for groups from the same churches or small, grassroots organizations. However, this training had representatives from several larger organizations, which included Hope International, Untold, Door International, as well as several influential churches in Kenya. The purpose of the training was to address and encourage the need for inclusion of those with disabilities, integrating with the organization’s particular ministry focus. Pray with us that strategic partnerships will develop as a result of the connections made and shared desire to serve those with disabilities in wholistic and transformational ways.
