And all the trees of the field shall know that I am the LORD; I bring low the high tree, and make high the low tree, dry up the green tree, and make the dry tree flourish. I am the LORD; I have spoken, and I will do it.

Heavenly Father, thank you for raising up your humble Son from the cruel tree to reign forever. By your amazing love we are raised with Him. How blessed we are to flourish and find peace in Him, even amidst the hardships and sorrows of this world. We marvel at the ways you raise up and bring low kingdoms and people of this world in keeping with your holy and gracious purposes. Grant us patience through your Spirit as we wait for your justice. Grant us hearts full of gratitude and hope as we await your new creation.

We also pray for those who are oppressed and needy, for those who are considered lowly and unworthy, such as so many with disabilities around the world. Would you raise them up with encouragement? Would you help them flourish with hope and thanksgiving even amidst the struggles they face? Give us all confidence in you and your promise to bring your perfect plans to fruition in your time. Amen.
