A Prayer For July — Accessible Hope International

“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came so that they may have life and have it abundantly.”
John 10:10

Abundant life! Jesus, this is why you came – to make life abundant for all people. Your generous heart desires that every person made in your image should flourish and live in the abundance that you make available. And yet, so often we don’t. We live with a scarcity mentality, afraid to ask for abundance, thinking you don’t have enough or don’t want us to have enough. We think living in pain is normal and we accept it. We have not because we ask not, and we ask not because we don’t understand your generosity.

And Lord, people with disabilities all around the world are largely unaware of your abundant life. Their lives are not abundant, and they don’t know where to look for that – or even know that it is possible. Help us, your children, to make you known among the nations, that all people would flourish in the abundant life you came to bring us. And let us model a flourishing and abundant life for others, so that they might see your glory and beauty in our lives and want the same for themselves.

Help us to flourish, O God, for the sake of your Name among the nations.
