COVID-19 | One more word of comfort....
"Let me hear in the morning of your steadfast love, for in you I trust. Make me know the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul." Psalm 143:8
Earlier last week, we passed along words of comfort and activities that you could do while at home during this time (if you missed that email, click here to view it on our blog). Today we want to share with you one more word of comfort.
Steadfast is a word that brings to mind a calm assurance, an unwavering faith, and unchanging character. Today as you are trusting and resting in the Lord, we want to encourage you to be steadfast in.......
“Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving.” Colossians 4:2
In a time of uncertainty, we are called to pray. Join us as we pray for protection, healing and trust. Pray that God would calm all fears and that compassion and boldness would rise above the confusion and darkness.
As a staff, we pray at mid-day everyday together. We pause in the middle of the busyness to re-group and focus on God's goodness. We would like to invite you to do the same using this quarter's Liturgy for Mid-Day. You can pray through this liturgy alone or together with your family.
"I have trusted in your steadfast love; my heart shall rejoice in your salvation." Psalm 13:5
Put your heart on paper by journaling your thoughts and feelings during this time. Journaling can be a positive way to express ourselves when we are overwhelmed with our thoughts and emotions.
"You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you." Isaiah 26:3
As the COVID-19 outbreak continues and many of us are seeking encouragement while staying home, reading can offer some respite. To help you, our staff put together a collection of books to calm your mind, rest your soul and allow you to grow in spirit.
