Learning Made Fun!
Crafting Hope is more than a card-making workshop; it’s an opportunity to learn directly from women with disabilities in Sierra Leone who are part of a Fair Trade Cooperative. These women are not only talented artisans but also teachers, leaders, and providers for their families. By joining this event, you step into a unique experience where learning goes both ways: as you discover their techniques for creating beautiful cards, you also open yourself to confronting assumptions about disability, building empathy, and seeing ability in new ways.
Through their creativity and resilience, the women of Women of Hope invite you to recognize that awareness of disability begins with listening, learning, and sharing life. Crafting Hope is a joyful reminder that inclusion is not a one-way street of “helping,” but a mutual exchange of gifts that leads to richer understanding and true friendship.
The women in the Fair Trade Cooperative in Sierra Leone have put together a fun and engaging VIDEO EVENT for learning how to make the popular cards featured in our occasional pop-up shops – with them as the teachers! Register below to participate in this exciting engagement and learning opportunity. There are two ways to participate.
